Works created using intaglio or relief plates that can be used for multiple impressions. An “edition” usually means there are identical prints made from a plate. A “variable edition” results from varying colors or adding chine collé to make each print one of a kind. On the other hand, “monoprints” are made when I combine reusable relief or intaglio plates to create a unique composition. Because these prints incorporate reusable elements, they differ from monotypes.
